World of Warcraft players have a few days to travel to a capital city and claim their Feast of Winter Veil gifts before the end of the year.
Christmas Day has arrived both in real life and in-game (well, technically the Feast of Winter Veil in-game) for World of Warcraft players, which means it’s time for another year of a winter tradition that’s been around in the MMO for ages. Once again, Horde and Alliance players will be able to travel to a capital city and claim a Festival of Winter Veil gift.
Christmas is a fairly quiet day in World of Warcraft in terms of special in-game activities, but it’s still exciting. Players can head to the capital associated with their faction on the map, find the massive tree, and search for a gift underneath. As usual, the giveaways focus primarily on collectibles and provide a fun collectible that may not otherwise be available.
This time around, the special Winter Veil giveaway is actually a retro throwback to an early ’90s Blizzard project from the Super Nintendo era – Rock n’ Roll Racing. There’s a pair of related items players are lucky enough to open under the big tree this year, and retro gaming fans will likely be pretty excited when they see what’s under the tree.
