Fun fact: the longest wedding veil covered 63.5 football pitches
The Guinness World Record for the longest wedding veil was set by a Cypriot bride named Maria Paraskeva in 2018.
According to Guinness World Recordsthe veil was measured at 6,962.6 meters (22,843 feet 2.11 inches) in Larnaca, Cyprus, on August 14, 2018. As Guinness notes, this is roughly the same length as 63.5 lands of Football.
“My childhood dream was always to beat the Guinness World Records title for the longest wedding veil,” Paraskeva said.

A former Chilliwack High School (CSS) student was disgusted to see a 2021 yearbook comment from a white student comparing graduation to the emancipation of slaves in the United States.
And the school apologizes for this oversight.
“I’m raising a black son, I’m a black woman, and I’d be gross if I was in school and excited to open my yearbook and that’s what I saw,” he said. Janis Good told The Progress on Monday (June 21).
