Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton tied the knot on Saturday July 3.
A new photo shows Stefani’s wedding veil has been embroidered with the names of her children.
A source told People that Shelton had “no problem adjusting to a new role as an additional father.”
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton tied the knot on Saturday July 3 in front of a small group of family and friends.
Stefani wore two Vera Wang wedding dresses – one for the ceremony and one for the reception – which included heartfelt nods to Shelton and his children.
The first dress was a silk and tulle dress with a plunging neckline and cutaway back, Vera Wang wrote in an Instagram post. Wang added that the veil was hand-embroidered with the names of Shelton and Stefani, as well as the names of the singer’s children of No Doubt, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.
“As a mom of 4 boys myself, seeing Gwen having her children’s names embroidered on the hem of her veil with Blake’s name fills my heart,” wrote Sabrina Biziarkek, co-owner of Studio This Is Photography , in a Instagram post.
“I’m in love with all the details she chose to include in her day to pay homage to her love for the family. From her wedding cake, which was a replica of her parents’ cake when they got married, to those names on the veil… .Each item included all of the people most important to her. How special. I couldn’t love it more, “she added.
Stefani’s reception dress also included nods to the couple’s family. It was embroidered with a pair of hand-sewn lovebirds symbolizing the couple, and three baby lovebirds representing Stefani’s children, as Wang wrote in another Instagram post.
The first image Stefani shared from the wedding was a photo of her turning up her veil. Bustos wrote on Instagram that they purposely chose her “to officially UNVEIL the fact that she was married”.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Stefani shared a New picture of herself, Shelton, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo, taken after the ceremony.
“Blake loves children and has had no problem adjusting to a new role of additional father,” an anonymous source said tell people magazine after the wedding. Another anonymous source, cited as an “industry insider,” told the publication, “They each put each other first and appreciate each other. They are cohesive as a family.”
Bustos, Haenn and Zangardi did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
