Meghan Markle arrived at Saint George’s Chapel on Saturday wearing a beautiful Givenchy Haute Couture wedding dress by designer Clare Waight Keller. But the real star of her look? The magnificent 16.4-foot veil that invaded the steps as she entered the chapel.
Compare that, if you will, to Kate Middleton’s shorter veil at her own wedding.
It was reported that Markle worked closely with Waight Keller on the dress design and that Markle wanted the 53 Commonwealth of Nations to be incorporated into her wedding look. With this direction, Waight Keller designed the veil to include the flora of each Commonwealth country. The veil is five meters (or 16.4 feet long) and is made of silk tulle with hand embroidered flowers.
