Katrina Kaif’s custom wedding veil pays homage to Vicky Kaushal’s Punjabi roots

Katrina Kaif looked breathtakingly beautiful in her red bridal outfit. Interestingly, the bespoke set paid special homage to Vicky Kaushal’s Punjabi roots. Designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Katrina’s red wedding lehenga was paired with a traditional custom-tailored veil that had a hand-beaten gold-plated silver handmade kiran. While Vicky Kaushal made for a dapper groom in an ivory silk sherwani with intricate marori embroidery. He wore a tussar georgette shawl with an embroidered zari marori pallu and borders. Vicky’s Benarasi silk fabric safa was adorned with a handcrafted kilangi. He also sported a statement necklace studded with emeralds, brilliant and rose cut diamonds, quartz and tourmalines. Announcing their nuptials on social media, Vicky and Katrina shared, “So much love and gratitude in our hearts for all that has brought us to this moment. Seeking all of your love and blessings as we begin this new journey together. ETimes was the first to confirm their marriage in December and we had exclusively announced that Fort Barwara would host this royal wedding. After the wedding, Vicky and Katrina would resume their professional commitments. Katrina is to resume filming Vijay’s film Sethupathi while Vicky will report on the sets for Dinesh Vijan’s film.A source previously told ETimes, “Vicky and Katrina are committed to completing their films in time so there will be no honeymoon. just after. Katrina will be back on her set after the wedding.”
