Hearthstone celebrates Winter Veil with a quest chain, themed skins, and the return of two seasonal Tavern Brawls. Starting Tuesday, Hearthstone players can take part in a chain of legendary quests.
How to earn free card packs
Three quests have been added and a total of six card packs are in play. Players will receive a standard card pack alongside a Fractured in Alterac Valley pack, one for each quest completed.
Free Snowman Thrall Skin
In addition to the winter festivities, when players visit the store on Tuesday they can claim a free Snowman Thrall skin.
As players browse the store, they can also purchase themed cosmetic packs for the traditional Hearthstone game mode, as well as packs for Hearthstone Battlegrounds. Players can also purchase the Greatfather Winter Magni Hero Set.
Return of Tavern Brawls
Hearthstone players can also compete against others in the Gift Exchange Tavern Brawl, which involves receiving gifts. To win this Tavern Brawl, players must fight to open gifts and gain advantages against their opponent.
If this is a player’s first time participating in the Gift Exchange Tavern Brawl, they will receive the Winter Veil Treat card in return instead of a regular deck of cards.
The following Wednesday will feature the Wacky Waxy Winter Veil Brawl. This throwback Tavern Brawl involves big waxy gift cards. When opened, the card provides the opponent with a random, discounted legendary minion.
Alterac Valley Battle Updates
Hearthstone players can still earn honor points for the faction of their choice. According to Last update, the Alliance is moving forward in the Battle for Alterac Valley event. However, players who are for the Horde can still earn more points. The Horde and Alliance have already earned over a billion honor each.
The Winter Veil event will end on January 19, while the Battle for Alterac Valley event will end on January 11.
