Hallmark Channel Fan Favorite Actresses Lacey Chabert, Autumn Reeser and Alison Sweeney have joined forces to star in a trilogy of films inspired by a Lori Wilde novel. In The wedding veil movies, the actresses play best friends from college who go antiquing during their annual reunions. A shared purchase of an antique wedding veil is the catalyst for every woman to find her true loves. In The heritage of the wedding veil, the final installment of the trilogy, the single’s final best friend is given the veil in hopes that she will find her true happiness.

The final film in the trilogy resolves most, if not all, of the details introduced in the first two films. In The heritage of the wedding veil, Tracy (Alison Sweeney) is skeptical of the legendary powers of the wedding veil, especially when her longtime relationship comes to an end after her boyfriend wants her to leave her beloved New York for her new dream job in Los Angeles. Licking her wounds after her breakup, Tracy meets Nick (Victor Webster) at the tailor when she puts down the veil to have it repaired. They later meet by chance at Nick’s family restaurant and Tracy agrees to hire him to organize the upcoming 25th anniversary gala for the auction house where she works. When the auction house obtains a handwritten original draft of Emma Lazarus‘ poem, The new colossus, she is looking for a donor to help her place it in a museum. Nick’s great-grandmother revered the poem when she immigrated from Italy and helps Tracy in her quest. Meanwhile, Nick decides to take the plunge from the traditional Italian restaurant he shares with his sister to open his own. As Tracy spends more time with Nick, she realizes she is falling in love with him but isn’t quite ready yet. Is it possible that the veil is losing its magic and not leading Tracy to her true love?

What happened in the first The wedding veil film?
The first movie introduced us to Avery, Emma, and Tracy (Alison Sweeney)—three college friends who keep in touch at least once a year when they have a girls’ weekend to go antiquing—each time in a different city. The three reunite in San Francisco and discover an antique wedding veil in an antique store. The veil has its own mythology – it is said that whoever possesses the veil will find true love. The three friends go out and buy the veil and Avery is the first to take possession of the veil. In no time, she meets Peter (Kevin McGarry) in San Francisco, but the two learn that they both live in Boston. After some misunderstandings, the two fall in love as they work together to restore a centuries-old painting.
What happened in the second The wedding veil film?
In wedding veil unveiledEmma (autumn reeser) takes possession of the veil and takes it to Italy to research its provenance while she spends a semester teaching American art history at a university in Venice. There she meets Paolo (Paul Bernardini), a local businessman who helps run the family lace business. Emma goes to her grandmother’s shop, one of the oldest on the island of Burano, to discover that the lace was made by Paolo’s family. Paolo helps her in her research on the history of the veil. As they follow the veil’s journey to the United States, Paolo and Emma begin to fall in love.

Autumn Reeser has previously starred alongside other Hallmark Channel alumni in two series –valentine with Kristoffer Polaha and Last resort with Daniel Lising. His first movie on Hallmark Channel was Love at the Thanksgiving Parade opposite Antonio Cupowho was also her co-star in A Christmas in Glenbrooke.
