Gwen Stefani paid tribute to her husband Blake Shelton and her three sons in her custom high neck Vera Wang wedding dress with a handmade detail.
Stefani and Shelton officially tied the knot over July 4 weekend at the chapel he built for the special occasion on his ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. The pop singer, 51, has three boys – Kingston (15), Zuma (12) and Apollo (7) – from her previous marriage to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. But she honored her new marriage with a touching tribute to her family.
“She chose a white silk georgette and high low hand-rolled tulle dress with a plunging neckline and a cut back,” Wang broke down the dress on Instagram on Monday. “The dress was worn with a white chapel length veil with hand embroidered names of Blake, Gwen, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo flanked by 2 white roses at the hem of the veil.”

But the details didn’t stop there. Stefani wore a separate, shorter dress for the wedding reception, on which hand-sewn lovebirds represented the newly married couple – who started dating in 2015 and got engaged in 2020 – while three little lovebirds represented Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.
“For the reception, she chose a strapless mini dress in lily white Italian silk crepe and hand-rolled tulle with hand-embroidered foliage in silk, crystal and sequins that flows delicately from the waist down. bottom of the skirt,” Wang wrote in a separate Instagram post. “The embroidery is highlighted by a pair of hand-sewn love birds symbolizing the couple. They are joined by 3 baby lovebirds representing Gwen’s children.
The country singer, 45, added his own emotional handwritten touches to the intimate ceremony of around 40 people, presided over by Carson Daly. The voice the host encouraged prolific songwriters to write their own vows, and Shelton penned a heartbreaking track for him that Daly says could be a top 40 hit. The song has a working title of “Reach the Star”, but it has not been officially announced whether Shelton will release the song for the public.
“I hope he records it,” Daly said in a statement. “It’ll put everyone in the wedding right now if they record that song.”
