Los Angeles Rockers BLACK VEIL BRIDES have released the official music video for their song “Born Again”. The clip, directed by Vicente Cordero of industrialism moviesseen below.
“Born Again” is taken from BLACK VEIL BRIDES‘ last album, “The Phantom Tomorrow”released last October via Sumerian records. The third concept LP from BLACK VEIL BRIDES and the band’s most ambitious release to date features a dozen tracks, including the band’s first-ever Top 10 US Active Rock single. “Scarlet Cross”.
The cover of “The Phantom Tomorrow” was created by Eliran Kantorknown for his work with WILL, RACE HATE, HAVOK and Andy Blackto name a few. “The Phantom Tomorrow” was produced by Erik Ron (GOD, DANCE GAVIN DANCE, BUSH) and co-produced by the guitarist Jake Pitts.
“This video was an opportunity to use some of the most gruesome imagery we grew up as fans of classic horror movies,” Explain black Veil Brides leader and founder Andy Biersack. “It also offered a chance to further flesh out the immersive world of The Phantom Tomorrow, told in multiple accompanying mediums including comic books, action figures and, of course, music videos. We show a bit of what happens in the ‘9e Circle,’ which is the location in our Phantom Tomorrow storyline that exists as a plane of existence outside of reality,” Andy explains. “It’s a more esoteric version of an afterlife of fire and brimstone, but one that directly attacks your everyday life.”
“I think we all struggle with demons that hold us back or keep us from going through life,” adds Andy. “This song and this video is about that push and pull. And how, in the end, the battle is won not by pretending that these parts of ourselves don’t exist, but by facing them head-on. And saying that no matter what we struggle with or what fears and anxieties we experience, we can overcome them and be “born again” as the person we know to be in our hearts and minds.
In November 2019, BLACK VEIL BRIDES announced the arrival of a bassist Lonny Eagleton in the ranks of the group. He joins the group replacing Ashley Purdywho left the group earlier that month. Eagleton already played with Biersack (a.k.a Andy Black) during his solo tour.
